About Gen 7
Gen7 Renewables Energy is an Irish solar company developing a solar farm in Nash, Co Wexford.
As a company we bring together over one hundred years of expertise in engineering, finance, information technology, new business development and marketing with the core skills to successfully develop and operate what will be one of the largest solar farms in Ireland.
About the project
Gen7 is partnering with Eirgrid /ESB Network, the government and local landowners to develop a solar farm in south Wexford, providing much needed renewable electricity into the national grid and helping Ireland meet its carbon reduction goals.
In addition to the core team, Gen7 has assembled an experienced team of consultants covering design, planning, construction and all disciplines required to develop and operate the solar farm by mid 2026.

Progress to Date
Gen7 is on track to submit planning for the solar farm in October 2023 with an outline plan to supply electricity to the network in 2026. The company have already made significant progress to meet those targets:
- Gen7 has secured access rights to the Eirgrid /ESB Network.
- At least two landowners have signed onto the programme. This makes the project viable and planning will be submitted to Wexford County Council in Oct 2023 per the project plan outlined below.
- Based on the design process timeline, the company will finalise the solar farm’s land configuration by 24 February 2023. This will serve as the date for landowners to decide whether they are interested and sign the lease agreement to become part of this exciting programme.
